The Choir's New Year Concert for 2007 was

An Italian Evening

at

All Saints Church, Penarth

on

Saturday 27th January 2007 at 7.30pm

during which the Choir sung some of its current, largely Italianesc seasonal repertoire

including

"Gloria" by Vivaldi (1678-1741)

and a pot pourrie of smaller, mainly baroque pieces including:-

"Domine ad adjuvandum" by Giovanni Bassani (1657-1716)

"Laudate nomen Domini" by Tye (1497-1573)

"Ave verum corpus" by Byrd (1543-1623)

Three Italian Carols arranged by Tim Taylor

Mass for four voices by Franesco Gasparini (1668-1727)

"Kyrie" in D minor by W.A. Mozart (1756-1791)

"Sanctus" (from Mass in D) by Salieri (1750-1825)


There was also a contribution from the

University Brass Ensemble

Proceeds went to All Saints Church
